Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce To Host Luncheon in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Balch Springs, TX (October 16, 2014) – According to the Breastcancer.org, about 40,000 women in America are expected to die in 2014 from breast cancer. Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce has taken this into consideration and will be hosting a network luncheon to raise awareness about the condition.
Four speakers have been lined up for the event including: Dr. Timothy Moore PH.D ND from the Family Center of Wellness and speaker and Best Selling Author of the book, Confrontation 9, Dr. Dilshad Dyani.
Organizer of the luncheon, Alvester Gibson, is keen on improving awareness of breast cancer. He said, “My mother is currently in her second battle of breast cancer and I wanted to do something to increase awareness, especially among women.” The Mayor of Balch Springs, Dr. Carrie Gordon, who has been serving since 2009 will also be honored at the event along with House of Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson.
The luncheon will be held on October 16, 2014, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Balch Springs Civic Center, 12400 Elam Road. Balch Springs, TX 75180.
